Privacy policy

My Sylva is an app for keeping track of a Sylvanian Families collection, made by Lucas Broering. This policy explains what the app keeps about you, why, and how to remove it.
Without an account
You can use My Sylva without an account. The catalog comes with the app, and your collection and wishlist are saved only on your phone. Nothing about you is sent to us.
With an account
An account is optional. When you create one, we keep:
- Your e-mail address and password, to sign you in. The password is stored in a form that no one, including us, can read.
- Your username and its #SYL code, and the character you chose as your profile picture.
- Your collection and wishlist, so they stay the same on all your devices.
- Whether your collection is shown to everyone or only to your friends.
- Your friends and the friend requests you sent or received.
We use this only to run the features of the app. We do not sell it, show ads or track you.
What other people see
- People signed in to My Sylva can find you by your username and #SYL code, and see your profile picture.
- Your collection and wishlist are seen by your friends or, if you choose to show it to everyone, by anyone signed in.
- Your e-mail address is never shown to other people.
Services we use
- Supabase stores the accounts and the data listed above.
- Resend sends the e-mails from My Sylva, such as the one to confirm your account.
- Sylvanian Families Wiki (Fandom): pictures of the items are loaded from the wiki, so the wiki's servers see your device's internet address when the app shows them.
- Google Play may share crash reports with us, with no information about who you are.
All data is sent over encrypted connections.
On your phone
The app keeps the catalog, your collection and, when you are signed in, the key that keeps you signed in. The key is stored encrypted. Signing out or deleting your account removes your collection from the phone.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, collection, friends and friend requests are deleted right away. See how to delete your account.
Your rights
You can see and change your data in the app, and delete it at any time. You can also write to us to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, as the law where you live allows (for example, the LGPD in Brazil or the GDPR in Europe).
Children
My Sylva accounts are for people aged 13 or older. If you believe a child under 13 created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
